I find it difficult to describe how tender and tasty this was earlier today for our Xmas dinner, it cooked so easy in the gas oven, couple of hours gas mark 5, I rubbed some butter on and seasoned with salt and pepper before popping in the oven, basted it a couple of times all over with the juices, then let it rest covered in foil for a hour, simply the best, after all these years getting a crown from the supermarkets, the difference was stunning, it is a longer piece of prime breast, no bones or gristle with this gem! Easy to carve is an understatement, no waste whatsoever. Top value, fed 8 hungry folk, loads left for the sandwiches. I ordered a 2kg joint, would have fed around 10 adults with some leftover for a little over £20.
